Jackie, Dental Assistant
Jackie grew up in McAlester, Oklahoma. Beyond her Dental Assistant education, Jackie has received advanced training in in radiation safety, coronal polishing, topical fluoride, nitrous oxide, and infection control. In addition to laughing at Dr. Nels’ cheesy jokes, Jackie takes care of a lot of things behind the scenes that patients might not always think of (but we definitely appreciate), and she takes extreme pride in ensuring that Magnolia Family Dentistry is beyond compliant and up to date on all things involved with sterilization and infection control. She has a genuine care for her patients and dentistry as a whole. In fact, she can often be found giving time to causes such as OKMOM (Oklahoma Mission of Mercy) and other similar endeavors. Outside of dentistry, Jackie enjoys spending time with her family, which consists of her three children and her husband Donovan. Jackie is another vital piece of the Magnolia Family Dentistry team and an integral part of making a memorable patient experience.
Jasmine, Dental Hygienist
Jasmine originally hails from Dayton, Ohio. Her dental career began in 2009, when she worked as a dental assistant as an active duty member of the United States Air Force. Jasmine was honorably discharged in 2013 and later graduated from Rose State’s Dental Hygiene program.
Jasmine is married to her husband, Jacob, who is currently serving as an active duty member of the Air Force. Together they have a baby boy.
When she is not at work, Jasmine enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as staying active at the gym.
Jasmine truly cares about her patients and takes pride in providing a comfortable experience for them. Beyond the patient experience, Jasmine genuinely enjoys educating her patients about dental health and how it goes hand in hand with overall health. Though she cares about all of her patients, she has a soft spot for pediatric dentistry, where she believes that helping children have a good experiences now helps to set them up for success in the future. We are thrilled to have Jasmine as part of our team.

I traveled out of town for a week and broke a tooth AND lost a filling within an hour of arriving in OKC. Dr. Nels was able to get me in that afternoon and put me back together well enough for me to continue my trip. I was able to eat right away and there were no issues afterwards. They also were sensitive to potential insurance complications with follow up charges from my regular dentist. Thanks so much!
- John M.I had a recurring problem with an implant done by my previous dentist. Dr. Nels fixed the issue and I have not had any more problems with a loose implant that would “fall off” at times. I also have a child with special needs who would have to be sedated to have her teeth cleaned. Once again, Dr. Nels, came through! She was able to clean and examine my child’s teeth without sedation. I am very glad to be a patient of Dr. Nels. She is wonderful!
- Elaine H.The staff is super nice and they work with you on payments. They don’t judge you if you haven’t been to the dentist in a while which was very important for me because I haven’t. During my procedure she stop several times and asked me if I needed a break. I greatly appreciate it.
- Cassy H.I’m not going to lie, I was pretty scared to go to the dentist. Although I’ve always taken good care of my teeth, it’s always a scary thought to go to the dentist and find something wrong. I must say this office was fantastic. Ever since I moved to OKC, I‘ve looked for a dentist that will not hurt my mouth (bad experience in the past). I can now say I found that place. Leaha is so knowledgeable and made me feel relaxed during the whole process. I highly recommend this place.
- David ADr. Nels is a very caring and talented dentist. You will feel at ease at Magnolia Family Dentistry, I highly recommend them!
- Calli MI called them on Monday morning. They scheduled an appt Tues morning. Arrive and from front counter receptionist to the dentist were very professional. They made me feel at ease and were always asking if I was ok… and after explaining my past experiences with dentists Leaha made this visit overwhelmingly pleasant. Kudos to you Leaha and Jackie. I’ll be back to see you both and will definitely recommend to everybody I know. Thanks for all you guys did.
